Sr. Infra Developer

As a Sr. Infra Developer you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing and maintaining infrastructure solutions using cutting-edge technologies like OpenShift Docker Container Service Mesh (e.g. Istio Gloo Kong) and Kubernetes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of our systems. This hybrid role offers flexibility to work both remotely and on-site with no travel requirements. In this role, you will: Design and implement scalable infrastructure solutions using Openshift Docker Container and Kubernetes to meet business needs. Design deploy and manage Kubernetes (OpenShift EKS AKS) clusters across cloud environments - AWS Azure. Implement and maintain Service Mesh solutions to ensure secure resilient and observable service-to-service communication. Collaborate with software engineers to design and optimize microservices architecture. Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools like Helm and Terraform. Monitor and troubleshoot performance scalability and reliability issues in Kubernetes environments. Ensure platform security compliance and best practices are followed. Automate deployment operational and monitoring pipelines and CI/CD workflows on Jenkins. Deep expertise in Kubernetes architecture deployment and management and multi-cloud Kubernetes environment. Hands-on experience with Service Mesh technologies - Istio or Gloo or Kong Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or GCP. Experience with Jenkins CI/CD tools Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g. Terraform Helm). Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Loki Prometheus Grafana Jaeger). Understanding of networking concepts load balancing and API gateways. Knowledge of scripting languages like Python Go or Shell scripting. Familiarity with any container security tools 3+ years of experience as a Platform Engineer or similar role. Rest assured; we will always be clear about role expectations. Salary and Other Compensation: Applications will be accepted until August 12, 2025. The annual salary for this position is between $73,500 to $99,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
