Business Development Representative

The Business Development Representative plays a key role in generating qualified pipeline through inbound lead qualification and/or outbound prospecting. This role takes ownership of messaging, market research, and prospect engagement while supporting broader team initiatives. This role is expected to demonstrate a deeper understanding of the financial services industry, contribute to process improvements, and consistently exceed activity and pipeline targets. Essential Functions: Independently and proactively qualify and follow up on inbound leads from marketing campaigns, website inquiries, and events, ensuring adherence to SLAs and process standards and/or execute outbound prospecting strategies including cold calls, personalized emails, social media outreach, and participation in industry events and trade shows. Schedule and lead meetings for product demos, discovery meetings, and qualified meetings with prospects and customers. Achieve key business development goals and metrics, including prospecting activities, scheduled qualified meetings, qualified leads, and ACV Conduct in-depth discovery calls to uncover prospect needs, pain points, and alignment with nCino's value proposition. Perform detailed account and market research to identify trends, key decision-makers, and strategic initiatives within target institutions. Create and iterate on persona-based messaging using Salesloft cadences, contributing to content refinement and outreach strategy. Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of contacts, accounts, and business development activities in Salesforce. Maintain reports and dashboards to manage territory and goals. Build and manage a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities to support regional and team sales goals. Demonstrate strong knowledge of the nCino Platform and the financial services industry to engage prospects with credibility and insight. Collaborate with Sales, Pre-Sales, and Marketing teams on strategic events and/or outbound marketing activities. Consistently meet or exceed activity and pipeline targets, while maintaining high data integrity and conversion rates across the funnel. Expected to rank in top three of BDG leaderboard for qualified pipeline. Lead short-term project that contributes to overall success of BDG team goals Minimum Requirements: Undergraduate degree and 2+ years of related professional experience Effective and proactive communication with experience in sales messaging and scripting Ability to manage priorities and time Client focused Ability to manage complexity Preferred: Understanding of banks, credit unions, mortgage brokers and knowledge of financial services industry terminology Familiarity with CRM systems (SalesForce preferred) Experience with communication tools such as Salesloft, ZoomInfo or Linkedin sales Navigator If you thrive in a high-energy, entrepreneurial environment, we invite you to share your passion, ideas and excitement at nCino. The pay range for this role is based on relative market data and alignment with our compensation philosophy. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum of the pay range for each job posting, which is used to determine new hire rates/salaries and takes into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, abilities, proficiencies, experience, education, licensures/certifications, as well as business and organizational needs. nCino reserves the right to modify the posted range consistent with our internal practices and external market movement.
