A growing manufacturing company in Meriden, Connecticut, is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to support the financial operations team. The ideal candidate will have exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, along with a background in accounts receivable and general accounting functions. Accounts Receivable Management: Process and post customer payments, including checks, ACH, and credit card transactions, into the accounting system. Generate and distribute customer invoices and account statements promptly. Reconcile discrepancies in accounts receivable records and resolve billing issues with clients. Customer Account Management:

Monitor outstanding customer balances and follow up to ensure timely payments. Collaborate with internal departments to address customer concerns and disputes. Reporting and Recordkeeping:

Maintain accurate records of all accounts receivable transactions. Assist with company financial audits related to the accounts receivable function. Prepare weekly and monthly AR aging reports for review by management. Compliance and Process Improvement:

Support management in improving AR processes to increase efficiency and minimize errors. Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures. Requirements Qualifications and Skills Required:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate degree in accounting or finance is preferred. Experience: Previous experience in accounts receivable, accounting, or bookkeeping roles (12 years preferred). Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Oracle NetSuite is beneficial. Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for reporting and reconciliation tasks. Interpersonal and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to collaborate with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams to resolve issues efficiently. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
