Job Opportunity: Phlebotomist II
Our client, a medical research company, is looking for a Phlebotomist II for their San Antonio, TX location. Responsibilities include representing the face of the company to patients, drawing quality blood samples, and preparing those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures. The Phlebotomist II has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner. They will demonstrate leadership behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information. Under the direction of the area supervisor, they will perform daily activities accurately and on time, maintaining a safe and professional environment. They will also perform with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures, maintaining required records and documentation. They demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public in general. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, medical assistant or paramedic training preferred, phlebotomy certification preferred, 3 years of phlebotomy experience needed, minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred, and customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
