Laboratory Supervisor - Blood Bank Transfusion Services (Day Shift)
We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Supervisor to oversee Blood Bank Transfusion Services. This full-time role involves supervising laboratory personnel, coordinating activities, and providing technical expertise while ensuring compliance with established standards and practices. Experience in donor center and blood center operations is preferred. Key Responsibilities
Direct, supervise, and coordinate technical functions and activities in Blood Bank Transfusion Services Develop work schedules, assess staff performance, and recommend personnel actions Train staff and assist in developing departmental goals and budgets Perform lab tests and procedures as a medical technologist Participate in quality assessment programs and department/system-wide projects Collaborate with medical staff on laboratory services Qualifications
Bachelors Degree required ASCP certification (or equivalent) required Donor Center and Blood Center experience preferred Strong understanding of laboratory operations and procedures Ability to supervise and coordinate a team effectively Additional Requirements
