Essential Functions: Contributes technical guidance to updates to SOP, Work Instructions and other procedures requiring documentation. Works with Training Coordinators to implement revisions as part of standard training. Key contributor to execution of Process Engineering Trials, including new die design trials and tuning, new material trials, new product trials, process improvements and changes, new screw design trials and others. Advanced level troubleshooting of problematic lines including tooling, equipment, material, and process parameters, as dictated through escalation process. Champions running to BOP and BOP control by means of maintaining accurate BOP settings, providing training on purpose of BOPs. Participates in manufacturing Kaizen events and other Lean activities. Contributes knowledge, understanding and ability to repair, disassemble, clean, reassemble and perform proper set up all items related to Dies, Sizing, Emboss and other tooling components on various extruders. Makes precise measurements and subsequent recommendations on screw, barrel or die repairs, replacement, or refurbishment during inspection. Performs other work-related duties as assigned. Skills & Abilities: Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED), AAS degree or equivalent in a technical discipline preferred Experience: 6-10 years of experience directly relevant to primary area of focus, demonstrated experience in providing technical support in manufacturing environment that include Polymer Profile or Sheet Extrusion or related field. Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with limited supervision. General mechanical assembly and fabrication experience. Computer Skills: Basic computer skills, including database entry and Microsoft Office. Familiarity with SolidWorks or other CAD software Preferred Other Requirements: Able to use and understand precision tools Able to read blueprints Demonstrate above average mechanical aptitude skills Able to effectively communicate both written and verbally Physical Demands: Other Physical Requirements: Vision (Near, Distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth) Ability to perform basic physical tasks such as lifting 50 lbs Mobility to cover expansive manufacturing facility Equal Opportunity Employer.
