EDI Specialist

To support our rapid growth, we are seeking a driven and strategic EDI Specialist to build, lead, and grow our new wholesale partnerships channel. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimizing EDI solutions between our systems and those of our retail partners. This role is critical in ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient data exchange related to purchase orders, invoices, ASNs, and other EDI transactions. Key Responsibilities: Lead EDI onboarding and integration projects for existing wholesale retail partners such as Bloomingdale's, Macy's, Zola, Crate & Barrel, etc. Build out integrations for new bulk and dropship partners quarterly (at least 3-4 partners per quarter). Manage daily EDI transaction automation and processing: Purchase Orders (850), Invoices (810), Advance Ship Notices (856), Inventory (846), etc. Troubleshoot and resolve EDI errors and discrepancies in collaboration with internal operations, fulfillment, and account management teams. Work cross-functionally with operations, customer service, and finance to ensure wholesale orders are processed and fulfilled accurately. Maintain compliance with each retail partner's EDI requirements and routing guidelines. Monitor and improve EDI workflows for speed, accuracy, and scalability. Serve as the main point of contact for third-party EDI providers and EDI VANs. Maintain proper documentation of partner mappings, error codes, and resolution steps. Qualifications: 5+ years of hands-on EDI experience, preferably in a consumer goods or retail/wholesale environment. Strong understanding of EDI standards (X12, EDIFACT) and transaction sets (especially 850, 810, 856). Experience working with EDI platforms (e.g., SPS Commerce, Logicbroker, TrueCommerce, DiCentral, etc.) as well as NetSuite as an ERP platform. Familiarity with wholesale operations, retail compliance requirements, and order fulfillment processes (dropship and retail distribution models). Understanding of UCC-128 labeling and GS1 standards. Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills. Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and process efficiency. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment.
