Your Role: Video Editor/ Camera Operator
The Assistant Video Editor / Camera Operator plays a critical role in producing creative, on-brand video content for MIRA Safety. This position is responsible for developing and editing short-form videos for platforms such as YouTube Shorts and Meta, as well as assisting in video production for broader campaigns. The role involves hands-on editing, trend monitoring, storytelling, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-quality content that supports marketing and brand objectives. Essential Functions Develop original short-form video content for social platforms, especially YouTube Shorts and Meta Identify and act on emerging video trends before they peak Maintain creative ownership over video projects from ideation through publication Build compelling, brand-aligned video narratives that support campaign goals Monitor analytics and engagement to inform ongoing content strategy Collaborate with the marketing team on content alignment and timing Edit and produce promotional and campaign-driven video ads Assist with in-office video shoots, including lighting, camera operation, and setup Maintain quality while producing content quickly and consistently Perform other duties as assigned Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Competencies Proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut Pro) Understanding of social media video formats, algorithms, and audience preferences Strong visual storytelling and pacing skills Creative thinker with attention to technical detail Ability to manage deadlines and produce content efficiently Passion for content trends and innovative editing techniques Basic knowledge of camera operation, lighting, and audio recording Work Environment This position is based onsite at our Cedar Park, TX location, requiring attendance 5 days a week from 9am to 6pm Central Time in a standard office setting. Travel: Frequent travel, 10% to 15%. Required Education and Experience Proven experience in short-form video editing and production Familiarity with editing tools, storytelling, and social media platforms Experience operating cameras and production equipment Strong portfolio showcasing creative video work Preferred Education and Experience Experience in tactical, defense, or preparedness content production Familiarity with the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) Military or law enforcement background (DD-214 or statement of service if applicable) What We Offer
