Zalkin is seeking a talented Electrical Machine Builder to join our team in Statham, GA. In this position, you will accurately wire and assemble industrial electro-mechanical packaging machinery, control panels, and electrical sub-assemblies. You will also support machine testing and troubleshooting. What You'll Do Build Electrical Control Panels
Mount and wire components per schematics, layouts, and enclosure cutouts. Understand and follow all safe practices when working with electricity. Terminate Panels
Complete all high- and low-voltage terminations back to main panels and/or junction boxes. Install Field Wiring
Mount and wire motors, sensors, switches, solenoids, and other electrical devices. Troubleshoot and Test
Diagnose and correct electrical issues in machines and panels using test instruments. Redline Electrical Prints
Identify discrepancies in electrical drawings, wire systems accurately, and document necessary changes for engineering updates. Participate in Mechanical Assembly
Support mechanical assembly and fit, align, and adjust components during build and testing. Assist in Final Machine Testing and Adjustments Use a Variety of Hand and Power Tools
Operate tools safely and effectively for assembly and installation. Follow All Safety Requirements
Electrical safety, tool handling, ladder and hoist use, and clean work practices are essential. Who We're Looking For 56 years of experience wiring electrical control panels and working with industrial machines. Strong understanding of electrical safety practices. Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical engineering drawings and schematics. Familiar with AC/DC control circuits, VFDs, motor controls, PLC I/O wiring, and three-phase power. Ability to troubleshoot and test systems using standard equipment. Capable of reading and interpreting BOMs, procedures, and safety documentation. Comfortable defining problems, collecting data, and drawing valid conclusions. Able to operate a computer and calculator as needed.
