Job is on-site in Waco, TX (no remote option) PRIMARY DUTIES The CMIO prioritizes, manages, and implements IT/Informatics work that helps achieve the organization's strategic goals, including creation of a pipeline of Family Physicians and Clinical Informaticists through our ACGME training programs. Support clinician well-being and clinical quality through Epic end-user training, at the elbow support, efficiency coaching, design of clinical decision support tools, and implementation of other technology solutions Support EHR Maintenance by consulting with Epic Analysts on workflow design and clinical content Support population health, process improvement, and business intelligence projects across the organization by providing data validation, data visualization, clinical registry development, and workflow design expertise Participate in Change Management and Governance processes related to clinical workflows and IT implementations impacting clinical end-users and patients OTHER DUTIES Perform other duties as assigned PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS Possess a valid Texas driver's license and appropriate liability insurance Visual and auditory accuracy Shift length - varies Indoor setting Continuous use of computer Long periods of sitting Frequent use of telephone and/or smart devices Continuous repetitive grasping and manipulation of both hands Continuous conversational communication Occasional reaching, walking, squatting, bending, kneeling, twisting and climbing Occasionally carrying, lifting, pushing and pulling of up to 25 lbs. Occasionally working in confined, noisy, dusty areas Frequent use of personal car Understand/carry out simple/detailed, oral/written instructions Memorize and retain instructions Read and interpret detailed specifications Mental competency Tobacco non-user Physical accommodations will be implemented where necessary and feasible Qualifications

Chief Clinical Officer EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: BSN with RN licensure (or license-eligible in Texas) 2 years of clinical nursing experience Minimum 2 years of clinical informatics experience Preferred Masters in Health Informatics or Nursing Informatics; RN-BC, DPHIMS, or CAHIMS Outpatient clinical nursing experience SKILLS: Preferred - experience using Epic as End-User Has a high degree of initiative and decision-making ability to analyze situations and EHR functionality accurately in order to take effective action, organize work, delegate and achieving goals Able to build relationships and obtain input from stakeholders for EHR modification or implementation of new functionality, acting as a liaison between clinicians and IT staff Exercises judgment and discretion to develop, apply, and interpret clinical policies and procedures in the context of EHR development
