Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in precision instrument development, spanning multiple technical disciplines. Evaluate and address customer needs, providing innovative solutions to complex instrumentation challenges. Lead development teams, ensuring technical excellence and effective management oversight. Identify potential risks and implement comprehensive mitigation strategies. Analyze instrument requirements to develop robust technology architectures. Design experimental setups to validate design concepts and determine their feasibility and optimization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate precision instruments into larger systems, meeting performance benchmarks. Initiate and refine fabrication processes for custom-designed instruments. Document and present technical findings, reports, and test results with clarity and precision. Deliver training sessions for staff, subcontractors, and customers on device usage and maintenance. Required Skills and Abilities

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Comprehensive understanding of diverse instrument design, development, and application processes. Proficient in precision hardware fabrication techniques. Strong foundation in applied mathematics and physics with exceptional analytical skills. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational capabilities. Proficiency in modeling and simulation tools such as MATLAB, CAD software, and Finite Element Analysis software. Educational and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Applied Physics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering; a Master's or PhD is preferred. 10-15 years of experience in Hardware Instrument Engineering or a related field. This role offers the flexibility of a hybrid work environment, requiring onsite presence three days per week. Remote work options are available to complement your professional needs.
