Senior Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Quality Specialist

Boeing Defense, Space & Security has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Quality Specialist to join the Quality team in Multiple Locations! This position can be located in either Berkeley, MO; Ridley Park, PA; or Mesa, AZ! The NDT Compliance Auditor will support the BDS NDT Governance and Compliance team enabling execution of strategic improvement initiatives and compliance risk mitigations, and will contribute and engage in problem solving and risk mitigation controls. This position will interact with executive and senior leadership and partner with teams and functions across multiple locations and requires strong communication skills, written and verbal. This position will require strong background and work experience in all of the following NDT methods; certification in all methods is not required. Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) Eddy-Current Testing (ET) Penetrant Testing (PT) Radiography Testing (RT) Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive audits of all major Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods, including Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Radiographic Testing (RT), Eddy Current Testing (ET), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Penetrant Testing (PT). Assess compliance with industry requirements and standards, providing insights and recommendations for improvement. Collaborate with project management teams to align NDT processes with project objectives. Maintain accurate documentation of audit findings and processes. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the NDT function. Position Responsibilities: Level 4: Guides the development or improvement of non-destructive inspection or test techniques. Develops, deploys and implements tests or inspections and data collection techniques utilizing evolving technology. Develops program specific non-destructive testing documents. Develops and implements processes and procedures for new or revised non-destructive testing methods. Audits, validates and approves systems and techniques of suppliers and processors. Develops certification training and examinations. Level 5: Advises on advanced technology in non-destructive instrumentation and inspection principles, processes and techniques. Guides implementation of advanced inspection or test techniques. Develops innovative test processes and equipment. Consults suppliers and customers to resolve technical issues involving tests, processes and equipment. Develops principles and methods for analyzing test, inspection or statistical data. Consults on corrective action to resolve process or product anomalies. Participates on enterprise and industry teams to influence the standardization and regulation of training and certification requirements. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. Basic Qualifications: Currently hold a minimum of Level II certification in one of the following NDT methods: Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Radiographic Testing (RT), Eddy Current Testing (ET), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Penetrant Testing (PT) More than 5 years of experience in NDT Quality Testing Preferred Qualifications: Level 5: 10 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Current or previous ASNT Level 3 certification More than 3 years of aerospace inspection experience More than 3 years of experience in auditing to quality standards More than 1 year of experience in project management Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
