Electrical Technician

The Electrical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing wiring and electrical devices in an industrial setting, including the facility. 2nd shift hours are 3pm-11pm. Starting base pay for this position is $35.99. Requirements: Technical degree or journeyman certification Essential Job Duties: 1. Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions 2. Work with production personnel to troubleshoot mechanical or electrical issues 3. Work in conjunction with outside contractors and/or vendors as well as OEM's to troubleshoot and make repairs to plant equipment 4. Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments 5. Wire and install AC/DC motors, drives, racks and motion control equipment 6. Perform electrical troubleshooting using the proper tools and PPE 7. Control downtime by performing routine preventive maintenance techniques 8. Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment 9. Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs 10. Use computer system to document work and account for parts 11. Communicate with the team using verbal, written or electronic communication including phone, email, radio, or other 12. Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations 13. Participate on Emergency Response Team (required) 14. Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors. Set up and operate all shop equipment 15. Work in a safe and efficient manner using all personal protective and safety equipment and devices that are required, and comply with company safety policies and procedures 16. Identify and eliminate work hazards 17. Know proper lock-out/tag out minor servicing procedures 18. Conduct safe and proper clean up procedures 19. Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors Two companies, one vision.
