Maintenance Worker

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and proactive Maintenance Worker to join our team at Jellystone Lake Monroe. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the campground is well-maintained, safe, and welcoming for our guests. The role involves a variety of tasks related to the upkeep of facilities, grounds, and equipment. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance on buildings, facilities, and infrastructure. Maintain campground grounds, including mowing lawns, trimming bushes, and general landscaping. Ensure trails, roads, and common areas are clear and safe. Assist in cleaning and sanitizing public restrooms, showers, and other shared spaces. Maintain trash collection areas and assist with waste management. Inspect and maintain campground equipment, such as lawnmowers, snow blowers, and vehicles. Report any major malfunctions or need for replacements. Conduct regular safety inspections of all facilities, playgrounds, and recreational areas. Report any hazards or maintenance issues to management immediately. Assist guests with maintenance-related issues, ensuring a pleasant experience. Respond to guest inquiries related to campground facilities. Address any emergency repair needs, including weather-related damage or unexpected maintenance issues. Qualifications: Prior experience in general maintenance, landscaping, or facilities management is preferred but not required. Willing to train the right candidate. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and groundskeeping. Familiarity with power tools and basic maintenance equipment. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods. Must be able to work in various weather conditions. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Must be able to address maintenance issues efficiently and effectively. Good communication skills and ability to interact with guests and team members in a friendly, professional manner. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Willingness to transition into a full-time role with additional responsibilities. Preferred Qualifications (Optional): Experience working in a campground or hospitality environment. Basic knowledge of outdoor equipment and machinery. Ability to operate and do routine maintenance on small machinery like lawnmowers, weed trimmers, and snow plows and tractors.
