Airbus Helicopters is looking for an Aircraft Paint Technician B - Contract to join our team based in Grand Prairie, TX. Technician shall prepare all components and airframe surfaces for painting and perform the painting of the components and airframes IAW Airbus manufacturer procedures. Your Working Environment

Primary Responsibilities: Paint Prep 40% Perform preparation for painting to include; repairs, sanding, taping and surface preparation Perform initial inspection of components and parts to ensure all defects are noted prior to painting Perform stripe layout as specified by customer and masking per part drawing Paint 40% Use a variety of standard and specialized hand tools, power equipment and measuring devices and test equipment Assure that completed work complies with FAA regulations, customer requirements and company specifications Refinish repaired components in accordance with customer and factory standards Administrative and Training 20% Follow OSHA, safety and environmental regulations Must maintain clean working environment Your Boarding Pass

Education: Required High School diploma or equivalent Preferred Some Trade School Experience: Required Minimum of two (2) years related experience in industrial manufacturing or automotive (paint & body) and or other related skill/trade. Preferred Experience Painting and Paint preparation on metal and composite/fiberglass aircraft components. Licensure/Certifications: Required None Preferred None Travel Required: Less than 10% Domestic and International Citizenship: Authorized to Work in the US Clearance: None Qualified Skills: Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities: Required Exceptional work ethic Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task and handle high volume workloads. Preferred Strong paint skills Previous Paint work Able to read and work from blue prints and Bills of material (BOM) to ensure proper coatings are applied IAW Technical Data Communication Skills: Required: Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form in English Preferred: None Technical Systems Proficiency: Required: None Preferred: Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word) and SAP Complexity of the Role: Level of Decision Making: Mid-level of independent decision making expected when carrying out customer requirements. No # of Exempt Reports: 0 # of Non-exempt Reports: 0 Job Dimensions: The paint process is one step of the overhaul process, and this position is necessary to make this step efficient. Nature of Contacts: Cursory Communication on a daily Basis with internal parties only Physical Requirements: Onsite or remote: 100% Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings. Daily Hearing: able to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms. Daily Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications. Daily Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts. Daily Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. Daily Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. Daily Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools. Daily Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer. Daily Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving. Daily Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor. Daily Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces. Daily Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.
