AECOM is hiring a Senior Transportation Planner/Engineer to take charge of high-impact travel demand modeling and transportation planning projects. This is your opportunity to drive innovation, shape smarter infrastructure, and deliver solutions that move communities forward. Responsibilities: Design, develop, calibrate, and apply travel demand models Calibrate mode choice and other logit models Develop and apply dynamic traffic assignment and multimodal forecasting models Conduct project evaluations for Alternatives Analysis/DEIS Lead technical discussions with clients Mentor associate staff through project work Review technical analysis for accuracy and quality Prepare technical reports and presentations Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's in Engineering, Planning, Applied Math, or related field Eight years in transportation planning or related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education Five years of experience in transportation modeling Proficiency and experience in one or more modeling packages: CUBE, TransCAD, VISUM, VISSIM, TRANSIMS, DynusT, or ActivitySim Experience and demonstrated programming skills in at least one language: Python, R, C++, or other Experience with Microsoft Excel Preferred Requirements: Master's or PhD in a related field PE license or ability to obtain within 1 year Knowledge and familiarity with MPO or DOT modeling practices Knowledge of federal transportation planning regulations (e.g., FHWA, FTA) Experience with activity-based models Experience with toll-modeling Experience with one or more: web programming, PowerBI/Tableau dashboards, Azure/AWS, AI/ML Experience in analytical and problem-solving Additional Information
