We design, build, and secure critical military aircraft solutions using unique technology application and Agile software development capabilities to improve mission agility, capability, and operational readiness. We are seeking a Product Owner to lead innovative technology solutions, combining technical expertise with strategic product management. This role requires bridging technical teams and stakeholders while driving cutting-edge software products that meet user needs and business objectives. Responsibilities: As an integral member of our team, you will hone your skills in backend and frontend technologies to support aircraft specific solutions and integrate with flight hardware. Successful candidates will engage in: Product Strategy & Leadership: Define product vision and roadmaps, prioritizing features based on user feedback and market trends. Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure strategies align with business goals and are supported by solid business cases. Stakeholder Management: Work closely with customers, engineers, and program leadership to refine product backlogs and align team priorities. Bridge technical and business teams, lead technical interchange meetings, and participate in team and program reviews as a key software engineering stakeholder. Agile Development: Manage product backlogs and break down complex capabilities into achievable program increments. Partner with Scrum Masters, Product Management, and Testing Engineers on feature understanding, acceptance criteria, and active participation in agile ceremonies including standups, planning, and retrospectives. Technical Guidance: Partner with architects and leadership to provide technical direction leveraging deep software engineering understanding. Support technical scope decomposition, mentor teams on CI/CD best practices, and stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies. Performance Management: Define KPIs to measure product success, monitor user satisfaction and adoption, oversee delivery from conception through iterations, and manage risk mitigation throughout the development lifecycle. Here's what you'll need Bachelor's degree in a related scientific or engineering discipline. Demonstrated technical leadership abilities Excellent communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders Strong analytical problem-solving capabilities Self-direction in fast-paced environments. Mentor and supervise more junior engineers The ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD Secret or higher security clearance Our teams work a 9/80 compressed schedule Preferred:

Experience in specialized domains such as modeling & simulation, AI/ML, bioinformatics, or defense systems Knowledge of emerging technologies including generative AI, machine learning frameworks, or scientific workflows Experience with large, complex systems development Knowledge of container technologies and microservices architectures Familiarity with data engineering principles and data pipeline management Experience with automated testing and quality assurance practices Previous experience in startup or fast-paced environments Track record of delivering innovative solutions and driving technical transformation Experience promoting culture of continuous learning and cross-team collaboration Ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams toward successful product delivery Jacobs' health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you and in the things you care about. Hired applicants will be able to purchase company stock and have the opportunity to receive a performance discretionary bonus. The base salary range for this position is $125,000.00 to $165,000.00. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
