SMT Assembly Team Manager
Manages SMT assembly team of 20 in medium to high-mix complex PCBA environment. Strong understanding of SMT processes required including solder paste printing, component placement, reflow soldering, hand soldering under a microscope, and inspection. Oversee the entire SMT manufacturing process, ensuring efficient and high-quality electronic component assembly. This role involves managing the team, assisting with process optimization, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Supervise and mentor SMT operators and technicians. This includes hiring, training, performance management, and fostering a positive team environment. Contribute to new product introduction preparation and troubleshooting production issues. Work with Production Planners to prioritize tasks, execute production plans, and meet delivery schedules. Continuously improve SMT yields. Identify the root cause of yield/quality issues and develop corrective actions. Ensure production readiness of key processes in PCB assembly cycle. Identify and resolve technical issues related to SMT processes, equipment, and components.
