Key Responsibilities:
Monitors persons served/clients Completes nursing encounter visits Handles medication management Ensures universal precautions of the center Checks vital signs and records in the persons served/clients chart daily Observes and assesses persons served/clients for clinical signs and symptoms and follows prescribed courses of treatment Assists with client scheduling, appointments and telehealth as directed by center nurse Assists with completing withdrawal scales after training and direction of center nurse Participates in staff and state regulatory training as required Adheres to program policies and procedures while maintaining a professional code of ethics Required to protect the privacy of all persons served/client information in accordance with Addiction Recovery Care, LLC/Odyssey, Inc.s privacy policy, procedures and practices as required by federal and state law, in accordance with general principle of professionalism as a healthcare provider Maintains a valid drivers license Key Experience and Education Needed:
High School Diploma or GED Valid Kentucky CNA Certification Substance abuse experience preferred Experience delivering Health Education classes Appropriate State and Federal Clearances Other Qualifications to be Considered:
Knowledge and understanding of recovery principles and recovery driven service system Knowledge of community health resources that support life improvement in physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health, economic security, employment, positive social and family interdependence and positive cultural identity Knowledge of the physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual impact of alcohol and other drugs on the individual and family Knowledge of airborne and blood borne pathogens (TB, HIV, AIDS, HB) and risk reduction methodologies and the uses of universal precautions Knowledge of Federal, State and Municipal laws and/or regulations that regulate the treatment of alcoholism and drug addiction Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes Ability to pay attention to detail and be organized Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle crisis situations in a calm and supportive manner Ability to exhibit professional and courteous behavior, consistent with the ARC mission statement, when interacting with persons of varying backgrounds and education levels to create a safe and healthy relationship with clients served ARC full-time employees enjoy very attractive benefits packages for employees and their families to include health, dental, vision, life insurance, a wide array of ancillary insurance products for lifes needs, 401(k) plan with company matching and to ensure the work-life balance
