A University of Wyoming Bus Driver follows a planned bus route, making scheduled stops to pick up or drop off passengers. They will answer questions about the bus routes and communicate with dispatch via two-way radio during route. WEEKENDS OFF (unless individuals wish to accept additional weekend hours) Paid to attend University Football and other sporting events (dependent on weekend and night availability to operate event bus routes) A considerate management team A variety of daily work opportunities Relaxed team centered work environment The working hours for these positions vary between 5:30am

11:00pm depending on your availability. Pre-employment drug screening and review of motor vehicle record history are required. Essential duties and responsibilities: Safely operate UW Transit buses as directed, on various routes and assignments. Perform inspections of the equipment as outlined in the department procedures and demonstrated throughout the onboarding process. Maintain relevant paperwork and documentation as required. Positively contribute to the team centered work environment. Follow all University and Transportation Services Policies and Procedures. Competencies: Attention to Detail Consistency Independence Safety Awareness Service Orientation Teamwork Minimum qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or GED Experience: No Experience Required. Required education, licensure, certification, registration or other requirement: Valid Driver's License with a motor vehicle record that is compliant with the University Vehicle Use Policy. Must be able to pass all drug and/or alcohol screening(s) required by the UW Drug and Alcohol Policy. Ability to work as a team member in a professional team environment. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to follow and enforce safety procedures and protocols as directed.
