System Administrator
Agile Defense has an immediate need to hire a Windows System Admin Level 2 to work at Shaw AFB in Sumter, SC. Job duties and responsibilities include: Operate, maintain, administer and manage enterprise systems server and client hardware, software, applications and services. Provide Tier 2 technical support. Install, configure, operate, manage, troubleshoot, repair, upgrade, inspect and maintain server systems (physical and virtual). Manage and administer user accounts, profiles and access. Monitor workstation and server logs for errors and failures and perform appropriate troubleshooting and maintenance. Provide technical assistance for assigned projects. Provide desktop, server and software application integration support. Operate and maintain monitoring and analysis tools; and detect, analyze and resolve platform, infrastructure and system problems. Monitor, control, and report on system performance, utilization, and capacity. Report vulnerabilities/deficiencies to government representatives. Evaluate architecture, research technologies, and recommend hardware/software upgrades/replacements (COTS) to government representatives. Assist with the tracking and management of COTS licenses, warranties, service level agreements renewals for systems equipment and software. Coordinate with program offices/vendors and implement approved hardware/software changes/upgrades as directed. Update and maintain systems/server configuration and connectivity drawings, diagrams, and documentation. Qualifications: Associates Degree in Computer Science, IT or 4+ years IT domain knowledge experience. Security+ Certification (DoD 8570 Level 2 or higher) Microsoft Certified Solution Expert (MCSA) or Equivalent certification 4+ years of experience in IT field or related area Additional Skills & Qualifications: Windows Server Expertise Exceptional communication skills (verbal & written) Self-reliant Working Conditions: Environmental Conditions: General office environment, with periodic walking or driving to other buildings on base and working with standard office equipment. Strength Demands: Sedentary - 10 lbs. Maximum lifting, occasional lift/carry of small articles. Some occasional walking or standing may be required. Physical Requirements: Stand or Sit; Walk; Repetitive Motion; Use Hands / Fingers to Handle or Feel; Stoop, Kneel, Crouch, or Crawl; See; Push or Pull; Climb (stairs, ladders) or Balance (ascend / descend, work atop, traverse).
