Job Category: Social Services Requisition Number: SHELT021134 Location: Harborview Hall (326 9th Ave, Seattle, WA 98104) Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, 10:00pm-6:30am Pay: $26.74/hour Status: Regular Full-Time/Non-Exempt The Salvation Army is seeking a Shelter Supervisor to be responsible for all supervisory duties pertaining to our shelters. This will include items such as scheduling, time cards, payroll preparations, ensuring staff trainings are completed as assigned, and helping to coordinate shift adjustments as needed. Duties & Responsibilities: Supervise Off-Site Shelter Programs staff operational administration under the Shelter Programs Director's guidance. Demonstrates working knowledge of emergency resources. Assist in monitoring, evaluating, and facilitating operational changes to ensure compliance with policies and regulations. Participate in hiring to ensure adequate coverage of permanent, temporary, and on-call shelter staff. Provide direct supervision and training for staff assigned Attends and participates in all staff meetings. Conduct regular shelter program staff meetings as needed. Ability to conduct and oversee direct client services Provide policy and procedure guidance to subordinate staff Provide supportive care to residents experiencing personal crisis. Education & Experience: HS Diploma or GED 1 year of supervisory experience 1 year of experience working in an adult shelter and/or directly with the homeless population Driver's License required A generous benefits package is included with full-time positions: paid holidays, vacation time, sick time, and medical, vision, and dental insurance. Parental Leave: The benefit is 40 hours of Paid Leave for qualifying events. Sick Leave: 12 days of Sick Leave annually accruing from day one, eligible for use after three months' service time. Paid Vacation: Two weeks annually, accruing from day one, for non-exempt positions. Four weeks annually, accruing from day one, for exempt positions. Accrued vacation is eligible for use after six months' service time.
