Adjunct Faculty - High School Alternative Instructor
Applications are being accepted for an Adjunct Faculty - High School Alternative Instructor at the Moraine Park Technical College (MPTC), Beaver Dam Campus. The primary responsibilities are teaching in the Journey Program which is a high school alternative program that serves students from high schools within the MPTC District. Instructional responsibilities will be teaching students in English/Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Financial Literacy and Digital Literacy, as well as providing support in test taking, goal setting, college preparedness, career and employability skills and other Adult Education areas as needed. This position helps students prepare for and take the GED (General Education Development) exams on their path towards earning their HSED (High School Equivalency Diploma) credential accredited by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. The position is a part-time teaching position with 12 hours per week and runs during the academic school year. Job Qualifications: Must meet one of the following: Bachelor's Degree or higher in elementary education, secondary education, adult education, special needs education OR Wisconsin DPI Secondary Education license in a core academic area (Math, Science, English, Social Studies) or Special Education. Additional Information: Two (2) years of teaching experience is preferred. Experience with digital literacy or educational technology is preferred. Candidates will be required to show evidence of ability to teach in multiple content areas.
