Job Title: Global Fleet Diagnostic Engineer

Wabtec Corporation seeks Global Fleet Diagnostic Engineer in Erie, PA. Partner across engineering, services, operations, and IT functions to design and build analytic solutions to strategically support the business in its development of the next generation of locomotive service offerings. Manage execution for key reliability/analytics projects, coordinate analytical needs and programs with internal and external customers. Lead technical teams in the development, application, and deployment of diagnostic solutions, including rule base, statistical models, and physics model based. Execute data and visual analysis for discovery and opportunity generation. Develop descriptive and predictive models via simple approaches / algorithms that get the job done. Continually connect locomotive, shop, sensor / instrument, and expert knowledge, data and models to build up components of an "Industrial Internet" for the railroad industry. Partner with other functions within the business, best-in-class external partners on reliability and analytics project work. Continually work to embed discoveries and learning back into the business to drive cultural change. Identify and promote industry tools / standards that enable and scale analytics across Wabtec. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, plus 8 years of related experience. Required experience must include any amount of experience with all of the following: railroad service operations, locomotive diagnostics and associated analytic tools, servicing Diesel Locomotives, troubleshooting on Global Fleets of Diesel Locomotives, troubleshooting tools for complex systems, utilizing data analysis skills and tools, including SQL, Tableau, DataIKU, and Excel. Telecommuting Permitted. Must also have authority to work permanently in the U.S.
