Associate Engineer - Engineering Excellence Program
Complete the identified Engineering Excellence Program (EEP) curriculum during the 24-month program period, including successive work rotations in a variety of the Company's business units and/or client projects of approximately 4-6 months each, and an 8-week classroom-based New Engineer Development Program (NEDP). At the conclusion of the EEP, the program graduate will be assigned to a role within the Company through an interactive process that considers the graduate's knowledge, skills, and interests, and the needs of the business. Specific accountabilities for rotations are dependent on role assignment and will include, but not be limited to: Application Engineer Prepare technical specifications for electrical and electro-mechanical power conversion equipment that meets applicable global and local standards, as assigned Prepare technical specifications for sensors and automation equipment suppliers as assigned Conduct power system studies to ensure that the existing or proposed system is adequate to meet requirements of new equipment while meeting applicable global and local utility standards, as assigned Evaluate supplier proposals to determine the best technical and most cost-effective solution for the application Ensure "as shipped" systems meet all client requirements as defined in the project contract, including system specifications and performance guarantees, while achieving business goals and objectives Manage equipment costs, recommending cost reductions when feasible Control Engineer - Industrial Systems Gather pertinent information from authorized sources to assess project requirements as related to assigned scope of work Support technical project review meetings with clients as required Design industrial controller and/or computer-based software modules to meet control functionality and work progress targets at prescribed engineering checkpoints Design Human Machine Interface (HMI) software to meet control functionality and work progress targets at prescribed engineering checkpoints Provide regular, accurate, and considered status reports to parties deemed appropriate to the situation Control Engineer - Energy & Infrastructure Solutions Interpret client specifications and apply industry codes and standards to all products supplied to meet project requirements Create equipment specifications, bills of materials, and drawings, utilizing Company approved tools, that accurately reflect each project's equipment and product needs to ensure a design that meets project requirements and quality standards Prepare purchase specification and ERP requisition in a timely manner to achieve the project schedule Track all revisions to the specifications and drawings, complying with established change control procedures Edit project drawings to reflect preliminary, manufacturing, as shipped, and final "As-Installed" configurations Development Engineer Identify new technologies that have the potential to address the present, but unfilled, needs of our clients, or that create demand as a direct result of significant performance improvements that will provide a level of direct benefit to our clients sufficient to differentiate the Company from our competitors Evaluate the feasibility, cost, and benefits of incorporating new technologies in the Company's systems and products Incorporate selected technologies into the Company's power products in cooperation with Company, parent company, and third-party development teams Define modifications to existing tools, and features of new tools, that are necessary to engineer and commission products that incorporate selected technologies Field Engineer Commission AC and DC drive systems and/or control software or DC to AC inverter/skid and control software to meet design performance criteria Perform tune up of AC and DC drive systems closed loop regulators or solar PV inverter products to ensure optimal equipment performance and meet design parameters Troubleshoot and correct performance problems in complex control systems Design, configure, and test system software and hardware to meet contractual requirements of assigned scope Gather pertinent information from authorized sources to assess project requirements as related to assigned scope of work Provide regular, accurate, and considered commissioning status reports to parties deemed appropriate to the situation Sales Application Engineer Prepare technical specifications of drive and automation systems to meet clients' Request for Quote (RFQ) requirements and to effectively communicate these requirements to the clients and internal engineering team Define solutions that include hardware and software requirements for a project, in collaboration with clients and original equipment manufacturers (OEM's) Prepare detailed cost elements for the technical specification Identify enhanced product or service feature needs by soliciting feedback from clients Design competitive and viable technical approaches to resolve client issues
