Great Basin College is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant 3 for the Career and Technical Education Department. This position will track all expenditures for CTE related grants, create spend authorizations and expense reports, order supplies and equipment, track and maintain equipment, assist with CTE equipment disposition requests, review and assists the Senior Accountant with grant billing, monitor and reconcile budget accounts, create supplier invoice requests, process and verify procurement card transactions, maintain office supplies, and assist with budget and fiscal research requests. This position will perform receptionist duties by collecting, documenting, and maintaining department and program records. This position will assist the department chair in the coordination of scheduling courses and programs, input, add, change and cancel courses each semester in Peoplesoft, maintain department records, assist faculty in completing travel request/claim forms, submit work orders, responsible for purchase card transactions, maintain office supply inventory and other duties as assigned. This position will provide administrative support for the Dean of Industrial Technology & Workforce Development. Required Qualifications This position requires graduation from high school or equivalent education and three (3) years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations including explaining detailed policies, regulations and requirements; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims and budgeting forms; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities; OR One (1) year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. Candidates with customer service experience and basic experience using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel Experience in data entry are encouraged to apply. Schedule The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; though occasional evening and weekend work may be required. This is subject to change based on organizational needs. Compensation Grade Grade 27 In classified service, salary is in Grade and Step. The Step is determined based on the Nevada Administrative Code. Salary placement above a Step 01 at initial appointment is determined based on the recruitment, the candidate's qualifications, internal equity and budgets.
