Temporary Nursing Lab And Clinical Associate
Montgomery College, Nursing Department, located in Takoma Park/Silver Spring, MD, has a need for a Temporary Nursing Lab and Clinical Associate for the Skills Lab, 19 hours a week. The position runs from September 2, 2025, to May 8, 2026, with the possibility of annual renewal each year September to May. The Nursing Lab and Clinical Associate maintains Nursing lab spaces and provides instructional assistance for students in the Nursing Skills Lab. Duties include but are not limited to the following: Facilitate safe practice experiences in the Nursing Skills Lab by working with individual and groups of nursing students as they practice required nursing skills. Use up to date evidence-based practice and faculty and Lab Manager approved standardized evaluation criteria to assess student performance in campus laboratories. Provide skill review workshops and student remediations. Set up, break down, and maintain teaching labs for faculty-led on-campus labs. Conduct inventory; restock, repurpose, and create supplies. Set-up and maintain all technological equipment for student and faculty use, diagnose problems with equipment and make appropriate referrals for correction. Provide routine lab maintenance including cleaning, repairing, and troubleshooting malfunctioning equipment (i.e. IV equipment, manikins, medication carts, etc.). Participate in Lab meetings. Required Qualifications: Active Maryland RN license. Two years of med-surg acute care experience. CPR certification. Hiring Range:
$40 per hour For degrees earned outside of the U.S., a copy of your education equivalency, conducted by a nationally recognized evaluation service, must be included in your application.
