Kite Pharma is seeking a Senior Manager, Competitive Intelligence (CI) in support of Kite's Cell Therapy business. In this role, you will collaborate with a broad cross-functional group of stakeholders to collect, synthesize, and deliver key insights about the competitive environment and implications to Kite. This role will be a member of Kite's Global Analytics and Commercial Operations (GACO) team and report to the Senior Director of Global Integrated Insights. This role is based at either Kite's headquarters in Santa Monica, CA, or Gilead's headquarters in Foster City, CA, with a hybrid schedule requiring a minimum of three in-office days per week. Key Responsibilities
Create competitive landscapes and conduct competitive assessments for both in-class (CAR-T) and out-of-class therapies Provide timely updates on key competitive events, including assessing the impact and implications for Kite Collaborate closely with colleagues in Global Analytics & Commercial Operations (GACO) to provide competitor assumptions and insights to support short and long range forecasting Serve as a leader within new and existing stakeholder groups to form an aligned internal point of view on competitive activities that impact Kite's inline and pipeline business Follow predefined standards to ensure legal and ethical approaches to CI, protecting business interests and confidentiality in select situations and work to improve processes Lead coverage of major medical congresses (3-6 per year), including pre-conference preparations, live attendance with daily debriefs, and post-conference presentations Design and lead competitive simulation workshops Collaborate with the Kite CI team and cross-functional stakeholders, including Commercial, Business Development, Corporate Development, Medical Affairs, Clinical, Regulatory, Legal, and Senior Leadership Up to 20% business travel, with travel peaks coinciding with major medical congresses Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of experience; OR Master's Degree and 6+ years of relevant experience; OR PhD and 2+ years of relevant experience Preferred Qualifications
Competitive Intelligence work experience in either consulting or industry Understanding of the hematology/oncology and/or cell therapy clinical landscape (3+ years of experience) Demonstrated leadership in a complex cross-functional environment Strong knowledge regarding the drug development and commercialization process to assess and contextualize competitive efforts Demonstrated ability to perform competitive analyses and extract business insights Ability to interpret and synthesize clinical data and identify broader implications for our programs History of independence in researching, formulating, and delivering CI assessments (including basic information as well as strategic insights based on that information) Experienced with using online CI databases (e.g., Pubmed, clinicaltrials.gov, TrialTrove, Evaluate Pharma, etc.) Proven ability to present at and facilitate small group and large group meetings and discussions (with peers as well as superiors) to achieve pre-defined objectives Excellent task management skills (specifically project planning, prioritization, objective setting, meeting management and plan execution) Congress coverage either as a consultant or CI team member for industry Experience integrating AI tools (LLM, AI agents) to enhance CI workflows and improve deliverable quality People Leader Accountabilities

Kite considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
