Grant Accountant

They are located near Oak Lawn, IL and are in search of a Grant Accountant. The Grant Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of grant funding, including budgeting, reporting and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience in grant management. Grant Accountant Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of grant accounting, including budgeting, invoicing and financial reporting Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations related to grant funding Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for all grants Monitor grant expenditures and prepare periodic financial reports for stakeholders Assist with grant proposals, including budget preparation and cost allocation Collaborate with program managers to ensure effective financial management of grants Conduct audits and prepare documentation for external audits as necessary Provide training and support to staff on grant accounting procedures and policies Grant Accountant Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field 3+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on grant management preferred Knowledge of GAAP and applicable regulations regarding grant funding Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented with a strong ability to manage multiple priorities If you are qualified and interested in the Grant Accountant position, please apply today!
