Operations Supervisor
EMD Electronics is seeking an Operations Supervisor for its MEGASYS team. The Supervisor will be responsible for safety, leadership, employee development, hands-on support, and field training of shift employees in Semiconductor Gas and Chemical Operations. This position will lead a shift of up to 15 Megasys technicians in the safe completion of operations and maintenance procedures. The Supervisor will help drive 100% compliance to achieve flawless safety and quality execution and will support total gas and chemical operations, task prioritization, escalations, and completion of other activities. This role will act as a key customer interface for all operations related requests. Responsibilities include: Drive safety first culture with constant safety messages, communications, and team interaction to meet targets in safety and quality performance Ensure their team follows and meets all required Basic Safety Process and safety requirements (including performing regular spot checks) Drive a continuous improvement culture of making operational change based on site needs and KPI's Responsible for change notification and implementing change across shift Work as a team player with other department supervisors (internal or other onsite service providers) Support site manager and other supervisor roles during vacation/sick time Shift changeover responsibility reinforcement ensures seamless handoff from shift-to-shift ensuring accurate communication on customer expectations and project deadlines Serve as the main customer contact for all Operations and project activities Drive timely completion of all sustaining activities, maintaining ZERO gas or chemical interruptions Communicate customer activities: reporting out on delayed service requests, equipment reset status, action item list completion Monitor and reports on any equipment or service excursion and perform appropriate escalation to customer Train and certify technicians to attain the level of competency required to perform service in each of the skill areas according to the scope of work Complete preventative and corrective maintenance Perform 8D investigations with use of the 8D problem solving format Conduct root cause investigations, develops and closes action items Maintain online shift schedule, tracks all attendance and performance related issues and delivers employee feedback as recommended or required Who You Are: Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED 3+ years supervisory experience in fast paced gas/chemical manufacturing or semiconductor field Preferred Qualifications: Working knowledge of gas and chemical systems and SEMI construction standards Proficient in MS applications such as SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat 2+ years' experience in facility work order database systems The Company is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
