Located in Forest Grove, Oregon and founded in 2002, Adelante Mujeres is known for innovative responses to community concerns. Responsibilities: The Director of Leadership and Legislative Advocacy (DLA) provides strategic leadership for Adelante Mujeres' Leadership and Advocacy Department. This position is instrumental in advancing Adelante Mujeres' commitment to empowering Latina women and their families through leadership development and advocacy initiatives. The DLA ensures the delivery of high-quality, culturally responsive, and results-driven services that align with the organization's Mission, Vision, and Values. The services under the Leadership and Advocacy Department include civic leadership programming, community organizing, advocacy for legislative priorities, and immigration legal support. The Director of Leadership and Legislative Advocacy supervises the legal team and the L&A Department Managers. The DLA reports to the Executive Director. Leads and supports the outreach of the Leadership and Advocacy Department; develops and maintains strong working relationships with partners, and leverages resources by initiating and encouraging collaborative opportunities. Leads and coordinates advocacy efforts, including guiding the internal Advocacy Working Group, monitoring and analyzing relevant legislation and mobilizing stakeholders for political change. Leads the strategic planning of the Leadership and Advocacy Department, collaborating with Program Managers to implement and track goals and objectives. Participates in local and regional Leadership and Advocacy advisory groups, and other committees and boards including leading the Immigrant Solidarity Collaborative. Partners with the Executive Director to expand and enhance the Legal Clinic's services, ensuring sustainable growth and impact. Monitors overall program operations through effective supervision strategies, attendance of program activities; assesses the needs of each program and evaluates service outputs and outcomes. Qualifications: Required: Minimum of 5 years' experience in leadership development, community organizing, policy advocacy, and/or lobbying. Minimum of 3 years supervisory and management experience. Bilingual-Spanish/English fluency required. Bachelor's Degree in relevant field, such as Education, Social Sciences or Political Science. Demonstrated experience in strategic and operational planning. Demonstrated experience with budget management and grant reporting. Proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with community partners. Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills. Proven ability to drive effective change management. Understanding of Latine culture and community. Proficiency in MS Office, Canva, printer, and common office equipment. Strong commitment to the mission of the organization, environmental sustainability, and support for immigrant and BIPOC communities. Preferred: Understanding of Latine community in Washington County. Experience working in a non-profit setting. Additional Requirements: COVID-19 vaccine and booster required except for religious or medical accommodation. Ability to work in Forest Grove, Oregon, and reliable transportation to workshops, conferences, and events in Salem, OR and the greater Pacific Northwest. Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends. Salary & Benefits: Salary range: $85K - $89K depending on qualifications. Classification full time, salary position. Telework: up to 2 days a week, depending on program needs. Benefits: health, vision, dental, short-term and long-term disability, 401K pension plan, life insurance, EAP, professional development opportunities, transportation stipend, phone stipend, paid leave of absence, paid holidays (12.5 days annually), sick days (up to 9 days annually), vacation per year (up to 20 days years one through five, up to 25 days after five years), and sabbatical (1 month at 10 years of employment).
