Journeyman Tester
Mantech seeks motivated, career and customer-oriented Journeyman Tester to join our team in Stafford, VA. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Runs test scenarios for software usability and prepares reports on the software's effectiveness and defects for Development Services Teams, contributing to the improvement of software quality Identifies and logs issues that occur during an application's runtime, providing regular updates on the issues found, including their causes and possible resolutions Documents the steps to reproduce defects, associated test data, and other relevant information, facilitating efficient troubleshooting and resolution of issues Conducts regression testing to ensure there are no additional bugs or issues caused by the fixes implemented, maintaining the stability and reliability of software applications Performs thorough testing by covering all test cases to ensure applications work as intended, verifying that software meets functional and performance requirements Examines logs carefully to identify issues and conduct a thorough analysis to determine their underlying causes, demonstrating analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to receive guidance and direction from more senior staff Minimum Qualifications: BA/BS in field necessary to assume Tester duties or 4 additional years in lieu of degree. 4 + years of experience with 2+ years of relevant Tester experience A candidate holding a relevant Master's degree may be granted 2 years' experience credit for that extra education. A candidate holding a relevant PhD degree may be granted 4 years' experience credit for that extra education. DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification within 6 months of commencing work on the Task Order. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Software Development. Four years of experience in an agile-informed development environment. Experience with automated test platforms such as Selenium. Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired. Clearance Requirements: Must have a current/active Secret clearance. Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in stationary position for up to 50% of the time. Must be able to deliver clear and effective communication verbally and via email, phone, and virtual communication platforms to interface with co-workers and customers. Must be able to occasionally move about inside an office environment to access file cabinets, office machinery, and communicate with co-workers.
