We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a full-time Planner in our Water Resources

Flood and Drainage

department. The position entails performing technical work or studies in support of solving water resource problems. This could include, but is not limited to preparation of feasibility studies, technical memos evaluating specific client issues, assessing client needs and supporting DWR or USACE led feasibility or other planning related studies. This is a staffed, hourly, non-exempt position. A day in the life as a Wood Rodgers' Assistant Planner: Perform as a member of a water resource team managed by a Principal Engineer or Senior Planner. Work with cross-disciplinary teams of engineers, scientists, planners, and project managers to understand clients' water resources needs, design planning approaches to address those needs, and implement planning protocols to support decision making. Coordinate work done by other team members in completion of studies, documents and reports. Advise clients and their consultant teams on technical, economic, environmental, and financial developments that influence water resource planning studies and projects. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills: Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and work in a team environment. Graduation from an Accredited College or University in a STEM field. 2-5 years preparing studies or technical analyses on Water Resource-related projects. Minimum 3 years' experience in water resources engineering consulting with a successful track record of preparing water resource planning studies or other related studies. Familiarity with federal risk-informed water resources planning or similar methodologies. Valid CA driver's license. GIS Experience with working knowledge Participation in an industry-related professional organization A note on hourly pay ranges: The range does not reflect geographic variations and may fluctuate above or below the stated amount. Offers will be based on several factors, including experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, training, and location.
