Job Classification: Marketing and Communications, Student Department: Department of Multicultural Affairs Hiring Manager: Priscilla Serrato Contact: Education & Training Student Coordinator Work Schedule: 10 hours a week between the hours Monday thru Friday 8am-12pm and 12pm-5pm Desired Length of Employment: Fall 2025/Ongoing and Spring 2026/Ongoing Pay Rate: $10.00 Job Description: The Education & Training Student Coordinator Intern is responsible for promoting and contributing to the Leave Your Mark Training program. Responsibilities include recruiting, training student facilitators, scheduling Leave Your Mark trainings, overseeing the CubTalk Podcast as well as assisting developing and implementing other supplemental Leave Your Mark workshops. The Education & Training Student Coordinator Intern will assist in events led by other Education & Training facilitators or Multicultural Affairs Coalition Interns. Learning Outcomes: Provide hands on experience in program development and maintenance, as well as provide continuous feedback and reflection on leadership development. The intern will cultivate a deeper sense of empathy and cultural sensitivity, ensuring that training programs are respectful of all cultural backgrounds and experiences, while taking the initiative in promoting training opportunities and advocating for all student's voices and perspectives within the campus community. Required hard/specialized skills: Computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Prezi, and Canva/Photoshop is a plus Required soft skills: Ability to speak with knowledge about topics surrounding cultural humility, multicultural engagement, cultural competence and community engagement. Ability to facilitate dialogue and meaningful conversations. Ability to work independently, as well as, within a team. Engaged self-starter, professional demeanor, and a positive attitude. Timely and organized, with the ability to multitask. Skilled in working with individuals from varied backgrounds. Job Requirements: Assist with marketing and advertising. Assist with development opportunities for facilitators. Attend Leave Your Mark committee meetings as scheduled per semester. Facilitate Leave Your Mark Trainings across campus when needed. Coordinate with professional staff and campus partners to schedule semester Leave Your Mark offerings. Creating relevant content for social media. Lead out on CubTalk podcast creation and implementation. Collaborating with campus partners and student organizations to advocate for the Leave Your Mark Program while supporting Student Life's efforts to promote a Christian environment. Strong understanding of multicultural issues, including the ability to engage with and support students from different cultural, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Other duties as assigned. Provide marketing and communications support to assigned area of responsibility. Assist with various projects, activities or tasks related to marketing and communications. Support marketing and communications strategies and perform duties accordingly. Exhibit a willingness to take initiative and work independently and collaboratively. Ability to comply with University policies. Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
