Transfer Pricing Manager

FMC is seeking an experienced Transfer Pricing Manager to join our Global Tax and Transfer Pricing team. This role will work on a variety of transfer pricing matters at FMC related to operations, reporting, planning and controversy, ensuring compliance with international tax regulations and supporting the company's global financial objectives. The role requires understanding of transfer pricing principles, strong analytical skills, expert excel based modelling capabilities, and the ability to synthesize complex financial data across multiple entities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The role will be responsible for setting and monitoring of transfer prices, preparing arm's length legal entity forecasts, documenting material transfer pricing transactions in reports to be used for local country tax compliance, ad-hoc financial analyses, recommending solutions to various transfer pricing related requests, etc. As this position has global responsibilities, the successful candidate will manage their time efficiently to seamlessly collaborate with key non-US personnel, located in different time zones, while managing competing priorities and deadlines. Key Areas of Responsibilities: Expected responsibilities cover multiple areas including but are not limited to: Oversee the day-to-day execution of the company's operational transfer pricing processes. Prepare excel models to monitor intercompany service and tangible goods transactions. Evaluate and monitor the arms-length nature of intercompany financial transactions. Ensure compliance with international tax laws and regulations related to transfer pricing. Develop, implement, and monitor transfer pricing policies and procedures. Synthesize detailed financial forecasts for over fifty legal entities across multiple regions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and alignment of forecasts with business objectives. Analyze large volumes of financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities related to transfer pricing. Prepare and present comprehensive reports to senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations. Consolidate and manipulate large data sets sourced from multiple systems, while aligning with management reporting financials. Maintain a master list of over 10,000 transfer prices across various products and services. Regularly create, review, and update transfer pricing data, models, calculations, and analytics to reflect current business activities and market conditions as well as analyze and present scenarios. Identify and communicate issues that may surface from business operations with respect to a particular legal entity's transfer prices and any other continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen FMC's overall transfer pricing framework. Continuously partner with Finance and IT to obtain an understanding of information systems and data collection to independently identify, analyze, determine, and test transfer prices for intercompany transactions. Liaise with third party consultants, including advisors and auditors, to provide various information upon request. Calculate, monitor, and analyze the profitability of individual entities, ensuring that transfer pricing strategies align with company strategic objectives. Identify and address any discrepancies or issues affecting entity profitability. Prepare exposure analyses to accurately assess any uncertain tax positions and recommend actions to remediate. Prepare or review contemporaneous transfer pricing reports as needed such that they comply with relevant transfer pricing requirements and support positions reliable enough to withstand questioning under audit. Prepare or review country by country submissions. Prepare or review economic analyses to benchmark the arm's length nature of global intercompany transactions. Test intercompany transactions to determine adjustments to transfer prices and execute such adjustments as needed. Collaborate with global tax planning, international, and transfer pricing teams to understand, analyze and reconcile scenarios to optimize taxes, the effective tax rate, and cash flow and ensure the impacts of executed plans are properly accounted for and reported from a transfer pricing perspective. Includes working with subject matter experts within the global tax team and external tax consultants. Work closely with tax, transfer pricing, finance, accounting, and legal teams to support transfer pricing documentation and external reporting requirements. Work closely with tax planning team and compliance teams to support transfer pricing compliance aligned with strategic tax positions. Facilitate modeling for planning and scenario analyses as needed. Collaborate with international tax planning and external service providers to support valuation exercises. Provide guidance and support during audits and inquiries. Seek out opportunities to gain experience in non-core areas such as US International Tax, Planning, Global and Statutory Tax Accounting and Reporting. Continuously evaluate and improve transfer pricing processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Implement best practices and leverage technology to optimize data management and reporting. Qualifications and Competencies: 5+ years of experience in transfer pricing, financial analysis, or a related field, preferably within a multinational corporation or a Big 4 accounting firm. Proficient in financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting tools, expert in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Proven experience synthesizing complex financial data to conduct modeling and analysis using higher-level Excel functionalities (i.e., pivot tables, macros, and other logic-based formulas). Experience of setting, monitoring, and adjusting transfer prices on a frequent basis along with making any necessary transfer pricing adjustments during the year-end close process preferred. Strong knowledge of international transfer pricing regulations and guidelines. Ability to understand segmented results and opine on the accuracy of such data. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization. Experience with creating summarized deliverables and/or dashboards of robust methods of analyses synthesized in plain language with accurate reporting of results, while demonstrating comprehensive self-review and editing. Experience with tax/transfer pricing software and accounting systems. Ability to vet and elevate issues in a solution-oriented manner and influence change and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams in-house and externally. Understanding of US International Tax and US GAAP tax accounting under ASC740 a plus. Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPA, CFA, CMA) is preferred.
