The Financial Analyst at Delta Community Credit Union will be essential in developing sophisticated financial models and conducting data analysis to support strategic decision-making and optimize financial performance. This role requires advanced skills in financial modeling, data interpretation, and reporting to provide actionable insights for growth, resource optimization, and investment decisions. Essential Functions: Financial Analysis & Advanced Modeling: o Design, develop, and maintain complex financial models that analyze financial metrics, costs, and revenue potential across different scenarios. o Utilize advanced modeling techniques such as probability of default (PD), loss given default (LGD), discounted cash flow (DCF), net present value (NPV), internal rate of return (IRR), and multi-scenario analysis to evaluate potential outcomes and inform decision-making. o Conduct sensitivity analyses to assess the impact of changing economic conditions, interest rates, and other critical variables on the credit union's financial position. Reporting & Data-Driven Insights: o Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with insights on key performance indicators (KPIs) and emerging trends. o Conduct in-depth analyses to uncover cost drivers, revenue opportunities, and areas for financial improvement, providing management with actionable insights. o Develop presentations and visualizations to clearly communicate financial analyses and recommendations to senior leadership and other stakeholders. Operational & Efficiency Modeling: o Collaborate with various departments to develop models that enhance operational efficiencies and optimize resource utilization. o Conduct cost-benefit and return on investment (ROI) analyses to support process improvements and strategic initiatives. Job Qualifications: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future. Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field 3+ years of experience in financial analysis with a focus on financial modeling Proven experience in independently building and managing complex financial models Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including a strong command of financial modeling functions like pivot tables, advanced formulas, and VBA Experience with financial data query and analysis using SQL and data visualization tools such as Strategy (previously MicroStrategy), Tableau, or Power BI Understanding of data lineage, data cataloging, and metadata management in support of reliable reporting and analysis Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and derive meaningful insights Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex financial information to non-financial audiences Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail in financial modeling and analysis Complies with all Credit Union policies and procedures including those related to Bank Secrecy Act regulations Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field Related Certifications such as, but not limited to FMVA, CPA, or CFA Experience with data governance, data stewardship practices, and articulating data quality requirements, particularly for financial and regulatory reporting Financial services or credit union experience Employee benefits include: Medical, Dental and Vision Coverage Basic Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance, Long Term Disability, Employee Assistance Program and MyAdvocate Supplemental Insurance or Voluntary Insurance 401(k) Plan with Company Match Vacation, Holidays and Personal Time Off Paid Maternity and Paternity Leave Pre-tax Health and Dependent Care Spending Accounts Benefit Choice Program Health Reward Dollars Discount on Gym Reimbursement and Identity Theft Programs Legal Services
