Top Secret/SCI Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity to use the latest cloud computing technologies to help U.S. Intelligence Community agencies implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solve technical problems. As a member of the UC organization, you'll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services. The S3 Engineering team is responsible for maintaining and improving our government customer's cloud storage solutions by reacting to operational incidents while also delivering new and exciting S3 features. We're looking for an Engineer to join our team and be based in Maryland. This position is perfect for professionals interested in creating tools and automation so that engineers can be as hands-off as possible. We want our service to be as automated as possible and that can only be done by having engineers who understand how to think big, simplify solutions to complex, never before seen problems; all while ensuring that the customer continues to have the best experience possible. We are seeking an engineer who is focused on operational excellence and troubleshooting complex system operations. They should also have a good understanding of Linux, networking and general knowledge of cloud services. Basic Qualifications

2+ years of systems administration experience (Linux and/or Networking). Strong debugging and systems analysis skills to be able to identify and quickly resolve/mitigate issues. Excellent troubleshooting skills at all levels, from application to network to host. Experience working with at least one scripting language. Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph Preferred Qualifications

2+ years experience with cloud computing technologies. In lieu of above relevant work experience, a degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field. The base pay for this position ranges from $81,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $152,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
