Job Category: Development Requisition Number: MANAG004098 Full-Time San Jose, CA 95126, USA Monday through Friday, 8 hours each day (8 am to 4:30 pm or 9 am to 5:30 pm). This is an exempt position and work hours may vary depending on workflow. Bilingual candidates (Spanish or County's threshold languages speaking) encouraged to apply Salary Range: $82,000 to $100,000 depending on relevant experience. We offer a competitive package of employee benefits for 30 to 40-hour week positions. You will receive a defined contribution amount of up to $14,580 per year (prorated for part-time employees working less than 40 hours per week) to purchase the benefits of your choice on a cafeteria plan basis. Any amount of this defined contribution not used towards your benefits will be paid to you as taxable earnings. We offer a retirement plan with a generous employer match starting at 4% after one year of employment. Our paid time off is also more generous than many employers with vacation time accruing up to 25 days per year, 6 days of sick time per year and 12 paid holidays. 2 options from Guardian VSP: a standard vision plan and an enhanced vision plan The Manager of Institutional Giving plays an integral role in fulfilling the organization's strategic vision for advancement and sustainability. In collaboration with the Development Director, the Manager's main goals are to establish and implement the strategy for grant funding for the organization. This includes identifying opportunities and working with various department leaders to seek funding for general operating support, programming, education and awareness, and related initiatives. The aim is to achieve significant fundraising success, broaden Momentum's donor base, and manage all grant administration and reporting requirements. The Manager will lead the post-award process, collaborating across departments to ensure grantor requirements are fulfilled. The Manager will be knowledgeable about Momentum's role in delivering behavioral health services and promoting stigma-reduction activities. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Research, prepare, and submit grant and sponsorship proposals and reports for foundation, corporate, and government applications. Track and fulfill donor post-award requirements, including reporting, communications, and stewardship. Develop and implement plans to increase corporate, foundation, and government support, including proactively identifying new donor/grant prospects. Maintain an active pipeline of prospective donors/grants and manage all grant applications and reporting deadlines. Maintain an internal grant tracking calendar for the Development Department, tracking prospects, proposals, awards, and visits necessary to support grant funding efforts. Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate and foundation prospects, including in-person visits and other personal outreach, in addition to formal proposals and reports. Work closely with leadership staff throughout the organization to identify program and organizational needs and strategic priorities of Momentum that require funding. Administer all awarded grants, working closely with finance and program staff throughout the grant period to ensure grant-funded activities proceed on schedule, on budget, and in accordance with grant requirements; submit all reports on a timely basis. Ensure appropriate, timely, and accurate acknowledgment of all corporate, foundation, and government gifts. Ensure all grant applications, attachments, reports, awards, and acknowledgments are uploaded to SharePoint and the Bloomerang database. Review and report on efforts regularly and as requested by the Executive Team, CEO, and Board of Directors; recommend changes and enhancements. Steward corporate and foundation donors with special mailings and updates. Supervise the Institutional Giving Assistant and oversee a team of grant writing consultants. Assist Development colleagues in executing various fundraising events and activities. Perform other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: (E = Essential; D = Desired) Minimum of 3 years of professional experience; (E) experience in nonprofit fund development. (D) Bachelor's Degree (E) or higher. (D) Knowledge of development concepts and fundraising techniques, especially those related to foundation, corporate, and government giving. (E) Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships. (E) Strong organizational skills; detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy. (E) Able to work on multiple, diverse projects under pressure and meet deadlines. (E) Self-motivated; able to work independently with minimal supervision. (D) Strong tact and good judgment. (D) Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. (E) Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and database utilization. (D) Impeccable personal and professional integrity. (D) A valid California Driver License, access to a reliable vehicle, current proof of auto liability insurance, and a documented clean DMV record. (E) Acceptable background check.
