Quality Assurance Specialist

Help in developmental capacity, observe and assist with QA abilities such as: quality system validation; assuring critical characteristic inspections are performed and processes validated. Serve as a Quality Assurance developmental intern within DCMA. Observe and assist with quality or manufacturing surveillance activities on assigned contracts or other delegated support activities. Observe and assist with the performance of pre-award and/or post-award contract reviews to help assess the appropriate level of quality assurance recommendations and requirements. Complete classroom and on-the-job training to acquire, exercise, and maintain knowledge of the duties inherent quality assurance mission support activities. Evaluating first article inspections according to approved plans; and documenting QA activity findings. Participating in material review boards for nonconforming hardware; special tooling, test equipment and facilities inspections. Must be a U.S. citizen Security Requirements: Non-Critical Sensitive with Secret Access Appointment is subject to the completion of a favorable suitability or fitness determination, where reciprocity cannot be applied; unfavorably adjudicated background checks will be grounds for removal. To qualify for a Quality Assurance Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. B. Education Substitution: Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. Education must be from a college or university accredited by an organization approved by the U.S. Department of Education. If using education to meet basic qualifications, YOU MUST SUBMIT A TRANSCRIPT as supplemental documentation. C. Combination: Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualifications and may be computed by first determining the applicant's total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level; then determining the applicant's education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level; and then adding the two percentages. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for that grade level. Additional information: This position does not meet criteria for appointment of Reemployed Annuitants. Tour of Duty: 1st Shift FLSA:Non-Exempt Bargaining Unit: Yes Selectee may be required to serve a trial/probationary period. Acquisition, Technology & Logistics (AT&L) NON-CAP: Position requires DoD Acquisition Engineering and Technical Management, Foundational certification within required timeframes. Selectee must also achieve 80 hours of Continuous Learning Points (CLPs) every 2-years. Mobility Agreement Required: This position may require extended temporary duty (TDY), or a permanent change in duty station (PCS) to any location within the Continental United States (CONUS). A signed mobility agreement to accept directed TDY or PCS is required. Failure to comply with the signed agreement may result in personnel separation in accordance with appropriate U.S. Office of Personnel Management regulations or may adversely affect career.
