Manager, Data Science

Develop advanced analytics and artificial intelligence products for use in Tiffany's luxury retail business. Define strategic objectives for the AI Studio. Lead the development of AI-powered solutions across multiple business domains, including commercial optimization, supply chain enhancement, marketing and media strategies, industrial process improvement, and product development and assortment planning. Lead a team of Data Scientists and Product Owners to ensure the delivery of the adequate AI solutions in a timely manner. Develop models/algorithms with cutting-edge data science and Artificial Intelligence techniques (supervised and unsupervised Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Generative AI, Time series forecast, Reinforcement Learning, Graph & Network Theory, etc.) that are designed to perform customer segmentation, product recommendation, demand forecast, pricing optimization, churn prediction, and customer comments understanding. Develop sophisticated AI solutions designed to optimize in-store product mix, enhance customer engagement through personalized contact strategies and predictive product recommendations, and improve customer targeting on media platforms like Meta and Google. Collaborate extensively with internal and external stakeholders, including working closely with internal leaders such as the VP of Supply Chain Planning, VP of Media, and VP of Retail. Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and support the internal growth of the team by preparing and presenting at steering committee and executive committee meetings. Manage relationships with external technology vendors and consulting partners. Understand, estimate and explain the value of applying AI solutions to Tiffany's challenges in the luxury retail business. Participate directly in data science, advanced analytics, and AI solution development, leading by example through hands-on involvement in technical projects. Coach and develop team members to enhance their proficiency in AI development and implementation and provide technical leadership. Utilize programming languages including Python and SQL and work with Dataiku software to manage code versioning and industrialization. Requires a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Data Science/Engineering, Data Mining, Mining Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related quantitative field. Requires at least 2 years of experience in a Lead Data Scientist role. Must have experience developing advanced analytics and AI solutions in the luxury retail industry. Experience must include: designing and implementing sophisticated machine learning models and artificial intelligence systems that address complex business challenges across different markets and cultural contexts; constructing innovative models with cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence techniques, including supervised and unsupervised Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Time series forecast, Reinforcement Learning, and Graph & Network Theory; evaluating emerging technologies and their potential application within the luxury sector; and utilizing programming languages including Python and SQL and working with Dataiku software to manage code versioning and industrialization.
