As an IT Systems Monitoring Analyst you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on a Systems Monitoring Analyst joining our team to evolve and maintain network infrastructure for the Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration. How A IT System Monitoring Analyst Will Make An Impact Monitoring and analyzing system performance, network integrity, and operational infrastructures Identifying potential issues and implementing preventative measures Develop, maintain, and provision operational reports and dashboards that provide status of operational activities, production issues and key operational metrics Creates data models that depict trends in the organization and its business processes. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues Oversee and maintain network security Compile and analyze data to identify trends and improve system performance Perform regular system audits Work closely with technical staff to ensure system efficiency Document issues and solutions for future reference Conducting regular inspections, maintenance, and testing of systems to ensure optimal performance Generating and presenting reports on system performance, problems, and resolutions Collaborating with other team members to identify and implement system improvements Providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to users Ensuring adherence to data management and security protocols Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in system monitoring Training staff in new technologies and systems monitoring procedures Qualifications 2-4 years of IT Operations support experience Proven work experience working in IT Operations and/or infrastructure support Experience working with industry leading infrastructure monitoring tools Excellent knowledge of network protocols and infrastructure Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues Understanding of system security and data backup Strong problem-solving and communication skills Knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols and network technologies BSc degree in Computer Science, IT or relevant field Security Clearance Level: DOE Q or TS Required Skills and Abilities: Written and Oral Communication; Organization, Problem Solving, Communication, and Teamwork. Rest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays $10,000 relocation assistance available for Albuquerque, NM only The likely salary range for this position is $79,747 - $103,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
