A Workers' Compensation Leader in the manufacturing industry is responsible for overseeing all aspects of a company's workers' compensation program, including claim management, risk assessment, and compliance. They ensure accurate and timely reporting of claims, manage communication with employees and vendors, and drive strategies to reduce workplace injuries and associated costs. Partner with the Medical Department Workers Comp. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Knowledge of Workers' Compensation Laws: A strong understanding of relevant state and federal regulations is crucial. Claims Management Experience: Proven experience in managing the full lifecycle of workers' compensation claims is essential. Risk Assessment and Safety Expertise: Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and safety protocols is important. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills are needed to interact with employees, supervisors, and other stakeholders. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop solutions to address challenges is crucial. Protecting employees: Ensuring that injured workers receive the medical care and support they need to recover and return to work. Return-to-Work Programs: Facilitating the return of injured employees to work, including modified duty and transitional work programs, and coordinating with medical professionals to assess work restrictions. Vendor Management: Managing relationships with third-party administrators, and other vendors involved in the workers' compensation process. Employee Communication and Support: Providing clear and consistent communication to employees regarding their rights and responsibilities under the workers' compensation program, and offering support throughout the claims process. Data Analysis and Reporting: Tracking and analyzing key metrics related to workers' compensation claims, such as frequency, severity, and costs, and reporting on trends to management. Minimizing costs: Reducing the financial burden of workplace injuries through proactive risk management and efficient claims processing. Promoting a safe workplace: Contributing to a culture of safety by identifying hazards, implementing safety measures, and educating employees about safe work practices. Ensuring compliance: Maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and minimizing the risk of fines and penalties. Other Duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Abilities for Success: Ability to work at our Fort Valley, GA manufacturing facility Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Possess a willingness to work the hours required to complete the work assigned Detail oriented, capable of accurately entering and tracking monetary information and providing work details for outside staff Manage expenses within established budgets and limitations Ability to handle confidential information. Basic Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's degree required: Human Resources / Business or related field 5+ years of relative work experience with Workers Compensation All candidates must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and will be required to provide proof of employment eligibility at the time of hire.
