IT Modernization Consultant II
This contract supports the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and its component agency, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in advancing its mission to protect the nation and respond to emergencies effectively. Specifically, it focuses on enhancing and sustaining FEMA's Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) Operations Portfolio. The mission centers around the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of IT systems and services that are critical to FEMA's ability to deliver emergency management capabilities. This includes ensuring continuous system availability, security, modernization, and operational efficiency to support FEMA's mission-critical programs and services. Responsibilities
Lead enterprise-level IT systems development and sustainment for the Federal Government. Drive continuous improvement and innovation within FEMA's IT systems. Support AI/Generative AI engagements, especially in collaboration with DHS or other federal agencies. Oversee and contribute to: Provide hands-on expertise in roles such as: IT modernization Software sustainment IT project management Required Qualifications
Education & Experience: Ten Years (10) of experience in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field. At least 1 year of experience with AI/Gen AI engagements in DHS or other government agencies. Certifications (must hold at least one of the following): Azure Fundamentals Certification AI Certification PMI-ACP PMP Clearance: Must obtain a Public Trust clearance prior to starting work.
