Detailed job description includes maintaining assigned post in hospital lobbies or switchboard offices, cordially greeting visitors and patients, answering and directing incoming calls, providing monitoring and notifications related to various regulatory and security systems, using switchboard equipment to answer and process calls efficiently, performing required tasks related to visitor check-in processes, monitoring the overall appearance of the hospital entrance, and completing unit/department specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents. Required qualifications include one year of related, clerical, or customer service experience, education may be used in lieu of experience. Physical demands include the ability to ambulate, remain in a stationary position, position self to reach and/or move objects above the shoulders and below the knees, and move objects up to 10 lbs.
