T BAILEY is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Quality Control Inspector to join our team at our state-of-the-art metal fabrication facility in Anacortes, Washington. This position is critical in upholding the exceptional quality standards that our clients in the heavy civil and industrial sectors rely on. Our fabrication shops are busy with a diverse range of projects, offering opportunities for professional growth and hands-on experience with complex builds, industry-leading equipment, and advanced inspection technologies. As a Quality Control Inspector, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity and compliance of all fabricated components. You'll be responsible for conducting inspections at various stages of the fabrication process, with a strong focus on Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Shear Wave, Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Penetrant Testing (PT). Attention to detail and a proactive approach are essential, as you'll be reviewing fabrication drawings, checking for non-conformities, completing detailed reports, and coordinating closely with our Quality Manager and production teams to resolve any quality issues in real time. This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of welding operations, non-destructive testing (NDT) methods, and quality control procedures in a high-volume fabrication environment. In this position, you will: Perform inspections on welds and fabricated structures using UT Shear Wave, MT, and PT methods Review and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and project specifications Document results accurately and communicate findings effectively with team members Collaborate with welders, fitters, and supervisors to ensure adherence to client and code requirements Utilize NDT equipment and precision measuring tools to verify dimensional accuracy and weld integrity Assist in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives when quality issues arise Minimum Qualifications: ASNT Level II certification in UT Shear Wave, MT, and PT Minimum 5 years of quality control experience in metal fabrication, steel construction, or similar industries Strong blueprint reading skills and familiarity with AWS or ASME welding codes Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) for data entry and reporting Excellent written and verbal communication skills Familiarity with NDT tools, weld gauges, and general inspection instruments At T BAILEY, we don't just build quality products-we build careers.
