In this unique opportunity you will make an impact across a wide range of software engineering teams. You will drive the development and implementation of best practices for qualifying end-to-end features. You will also build novel software prototypes, tools, and applications for improving the quality of our operating systems. Role Overview

The Central Automation and Tools team is responsible for improving all facets of using automation in our QE workflows. This includes analyzing the workflows, data and tools that help teams make it an effective, efficient element of their testing strategy. We need dedicated developers to help us explore and implement new technologies to continually improve our approach to achieving outstanding quality. You will work closely with other Developers, Quality Assurance Engineers and Automation Engineers across Apple to ensure we are putting the best ideas into our solutions. You will be part of all aspects of the development cycle from research, prototyping, development and shipping software to a large group of internal teams. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 2 years of directly related work experience can substitute for the education requirement. Solid computer science fundamentals. Strong development skills in Swift, Objective-C, C++ or similar languages. Preferred Qualifications

Experience in driving development and deployment of relevant testing tools and infrastructure. Experience with XCTest and Xcode. Experience writing and triaging automated software tests (e.g., unit-tests, regression tests, functional tests, stress tests). Experience in developing backend systems and/or web-based frontends a plus but not required. Detail oriented, analytical, and creative problem solver with passion for quality processes. Ability to triage problems, prioritize accordingly, and propose a resolution. Self driven and the ability to work autonomously. Keen eye for detail. Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $139,500 and $258,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
