Sr. Quality Technician

The Sr. Quality Technician will lead the operations of laboratory duties and perform a broad range of tasks to ensure completion of daily quality tests. This role provides collaborative leadership in support of quality functions and leads continuous improvement projects. Primary Responsibilities: Lead quality communications internally and cross-functionally to make timely decisions supporting lab and operational functions. Showcase critical thinking through resolving unexpected issues that arise in day-to-day activities. Create standard operating procedures for new processes. Lead investigations from start to finish, ensuring appropriate CA/PA's are determined. This may include communicating with external groups such as customers and suppliers. Provide support for laboratory team Provide backup for laboratory management which may include:

Supporting customer & regulatory audits Generating/presenting reports, leading presentations, and communicating with site leadership Placing purchase orders to maintain inventory. Communicating and addressing customer concerns as needed. Exhibits collaborative leadership cross-functionally, championing multiple programs to ensure site adherence to quality, food safety, and organizational objectives. Lead, maintain, and conduct training of relevant SOPs with QC team members and cross-functional partners.

Preferred Professional Experience/Qualifications: Experience/certificates in HACCP, PCQI, FSP, ISO 22000, SQF, BRC, or equivalent Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) criteria. USDA/FDA experience desired Experience with QC related instruments such as pH meters, refractometer, densitometer, colorimeter, GC/MS, salt analyzer, KF machine and auto titrators. Experience analyzing and interpreting information/data and presenting findings to site leadership. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Flexible Scheduling Required: This role may require occasional adjustments to standard working with the flexibility and willingness to adapt to varying schedules as required for business needs. Education: Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or Food Science/Technology and/or Business related field or 5+ years of relevant experience. Salary range: $24.98 - $31.23. The actual compensation that you will be offered will depend on a variety of factors including geography, skills and abilities, education, experience and other relevant factors. This role will remain open until filled.
