Medical Assistant Student RN

Promotes patient flow in both the clinical and clerical areas to provide care appropriate to the patient's age. Perform tasks and responsibilities within the framework of medical information gathering, health teaching, health counseling and provision of supportive care under the direction of a registered professional nurse or licensed physician, dentist or other licensed health care provider legally authorized under this title and in accordance with NYS Department of Health regulations. Adheres to current Kaleida policies and standards of practice. Education And Credentials

High School Diploma or GED required. Current status as RN student in an accredited nursing program required. Completion of a minimum of 1 clinical nursing rotation required. A graduate nurse may be placed into this position temporarily after NCLEX failure providing satisfactory employee status until successful NCLEX results. Experience

1 year of experience in medical environment preferred. A graduate nurse who has been employed in good standing but unsuccessful in NYS Board exam may be temporarily placed in this position until successful completion of exam. For non-clinical positions and nursing support positions, internal and external applicants must have the core competencies and sufficient work experience to perform in the per diem position for which they are applying.
