Utilities Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Utilities Engineer to join our team at our pharmaceutical manufacturing site. The Utilities Engineer will be responsible for the design, operation, maintenance, and optimization of all utility systems, including steam, compressed air, cooling water, and HVAC systems. This role is critical to ensuring that our manufacturing processes run efficiently and in compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain utility systems to support manufacturing operations. Monitor and analyze utility consumption and performance data to identify opportunities for improvement. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to utility systems, ensuring minimal downtime. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality regulations. Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on utility equipment. Prepare and maintain documentation related to utility systems, including SOPs, maintenance records, and compliance reports. Lead projects related to utility enhancements, including upgrades and installations. Provide technical support and training to maintenance personnel and other staff as needed. Who You Are: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or other engineering discipline 4+ years of experience in utilities or facilities engineering within a pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment Preferred Qualifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license Strong knowledge of utility systems such as steam, compressed air, cooling systems, and HVAC Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry (e.g., FDA, cGMP) Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure Strong communication and interpersonal skills Experience with energy management and sustainability initiatives Knowledge of automation and control systems related to utility management
