The Position: Acme is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Engineer I to join our Engineering team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong foundation in CNC programming and machining. In this role, you'll work closely with experienced engineers to develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes with a focus on CNC machining and custom customer-driven projects. Job duties: Develop comprehensive machining processes. Develop CNC programs for machining centers. Design basic workholding or fixtures. Assist production staff on process changes or revisions. Collaboration with customers on product specifications. Ownership for continuous improvement initiatives. Durable and consumable tooling selection and improvement. Make changes to upgrade existing manufacturing processes. Assist with procurement of fixture material, fixture hardware and special tooling. The Right Person/What we need from you: Basic knowledge of CNC programming, G and M codes. Basic Fixture (work holding) design knowledge. Basic manufacturing and machining process knowledge. Basic Tools knowledge. Good Auto CAD knowledge. Basic GD&T knowledge. Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience with CNC machines (operating, programming, or a mix of both). Bachelor's degree in engineering desired or equivalent work experience and/or education. Engineering tools exposure (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, five-axis programming) preferred.
